This is a list, written so we do not lose it. The last three posts built up a picture of the machine as a heat cycle: reservoirs that remember, a working fluid that moves, a cold leg where the reading becomes definite, and a return that carries what the solver says back into the loop. Tonight two things are running against pinned bars, and what we do next depends on how they land. So here is the picture as of this evening, and then the order.
Reservoirs. Two organs remember across breaths: the notebook, a shelf the reading writes into and reads back per slot, and the garage, the phasor bus where committed deposits wait. Both are durable. Only one is indispensable: severed, the notebook costs four points of wild and sixteen of synthetic, while the garage costs about one point of wild and nothing on synthetic. Durable and load-bearing are different properties, and a bus that carries at half its band can still be re-derived by the loop each breath.
Working fluid. The state turns over by half every breath and never freezes. There is no ratchet. That was the finding that turned “the air is stuck” into “the air is turbulent.”
Cold leg. The sealed channel, the pressure cooker’s road. It exists, it carries, and it is not yet the regime the machine is deployed in.
Return roads. Two are needed. The slot-to-token gate is built and failed its bar by a hair this afternoon, buying robustness instead of aim. The solver’s refusal re-entering the loop, the release valve, has no code at all.
Mass. A severance ladder found seven of seventeen million parameters remove for nothing and that the two organs worth the most per parameter are among the smallest. The balanced generation, three arms that prune the dead organs and regrow the reservoir and the grounding, is training as this is written.

The balanced generation: prune only, then prune plus a second notebook lane and a third grounding station, then the same with a cooker that makes the new organs the only memory and grounding on fifteen percent of rows. Bars pinned: the prune must be free, the growth must beat the continued control by a point on wild or half a point on synthetic, and the grown roads must cost more to sever than the organs they grew from.
The collider’s first rung: three readings of the wild holdout, the champion, the champion with its second grounding station severed, and its sibling from another seed. Per slot, does disagreement between two readings mark the slots the champion gets wrong? Bars: the front must cover forty percent of the wrong slots with three times the base error rate behind it. Below that the collider dies a second time, at the slot level this time, and goes to live in the certifier.
Judge. Both results against their bars, in the ledger, before anything else is built. Bars do not bend.
Cut the mask-prep pass down. It spends seventy-eight minutes before every run computing a slot mask the machine does not use and a fact buffer it does. Drop the mask half, keep the facts, and route the pass through the compiled reader. This goes first because it takes an hour off every run that follows.
The collider, rungs two and three, only if rung one passes. Two: re-read the front’s slots on the union of both readings’ evidence and vote three ways, zero training. Three: the token gate born aimed at the front, under a cooker that seals the residual so robustness is not an escape. Its bar is the five points the uniform-born gate missed.
The release valve. The solver’s refusal comes back into the loop and melts deposits in the garage, since the state has nothing to melt. Before a line of it is written, the headroom read: what does the reading do today on the rows the solver refuses? If refusal is invisible to the reading, that is the number to convert.
The cold leg as deployment. The sealed channel becomes the regime the machine runs in. A battery, a verdict script, and the manifest written in the same act as the word.
That is the list. Five items, two gates tonight, and a machine that has a cycle drawn on paper and most of a cycle built in metal.
